'Tom Campbell, the plucky and popular Bangor boatman, has entered upon a fresh enterprise. He has purchased the steam yacht 'Pearl', a trim little craft fitted with the latest improvements, and capable of accommodating 20 passengers. It is Tom's intention to convey pleasure parties from Bangor to the Copeland Islands, Helen's Bay and other popular resorts. The 'Pearl' makes her trial trip tomorrow at 1130.' -
The steam engine made it possible to take a party of passengers onto the water, but we are sure before this date, many ventured out using wind and sail. A lot has changed since the first known !Short Sea Cruise” .
This summer “Blue Aquarius” will take the next generation to the high seas.
None of the magic has ebbed away from the kids faces, “as the ropes are cast off and the engine bursts into life”.

The 2 boats running this season are the Blue Aquarius and the Rachlyn. We sold the Purple Heather and is currently running seal spotting trips out of the town of Oban.
